There is no greater adventure for a child than learning; nor for parents than taking an active part in their child's learning experiences. Child development experts will tell you the most active period of a child's life-long learning takes place between three months and three years of age. These are the golden years, both for you and your children!

The adventure can begin for you, right now! Just click on the Reading Champs Coach Registration Form and take advantage of our limited-time special offer of six FREE CSML Handbooks for everyone who registers--no strings attached--as a Reading Champs Coach.

We are making this offer because we are really excited to let people experience the power of the Common Sense Reading Lessons which are available on line!

Education can always be a great adventure!

What was it the President really said?

Children don't come with user manuals, and even a little preparation goes a long way. But today, more than ever, it is becoming obvious that we need to teach our children to read and learn ... even before we send them off to school.

When President Obama said, "Responsibility for our children's education begins at home," he was really saying that our children's education is, first and foremost, the parents' right and responsibility. American public education systems are in place as a resource to assist parents--not to replace them.

Many people--and, unfortunately, many educators--believe that they are the ultimate judges of what is best for our children. This is not true, which is why the subject of education was intentionally omitted from the federal constitution. Our founding fathers realized that Education needs to be conducted at the most personal level possible--the family, and the local community. In reality, what needs to be put in place are working partnerships--with all parties working on the same page!

Almost every student, from preschool through adult learner, has the potential of becoming a reading champion. But "one-size-fits-all" reading programs don't work for all students. Reading Champs' flexible learning opportunities allow kids to use the natural curiosity and learning capacity with which they were born.

We, as parents and as teachers, need to accept that each emerging reader is unique -- there is no such thing as a "standard" student. Then we will be able to start teaching to each individual's wants and interests.
